Childhood Diseases are Preventable

  1. The major childhood diseases are dangerous and can br crippling or even deadly. But they can be prevented with a complete series of immunizations.
  2. Start at birth and continue to follow the schedule provide in the table below.
  3. Bring your child's official immunization card to every visit with a health care provider or WIC center.
  4. If you have children 5 years of age or younger, ask your doctor if they should be screened for lead poisoning.
