Bethel, NY – Due to a regional lifeguard shortage, Lake Superior State Park’s beach in Bethel will see its operational hours altered as the season comes to an end.
The beach will not be open on August 27, 28, 29 and 31. This includes swimming and rentals of rowboats and paddleboats. However, the beach, swimming, rowboating and paddleboating will be open and available on August 22-26, 30 and September 1-3.
The park itself will remain open even on days when the beach is closed. Users will be welcome to picnic, fish, hike and utilize the facilities of this beautiful and popular destination.
